เรื่องย่อ OtherLife (2017)

เล่าเรื่องของเรน น้องชายเธอจาเร็ดถูกหินกระแทกหัวตอนดำน้ำ ทำให้ตอนนี้สมองเขาตาย เรนพยายามช่วยจาเร็ดจากอาการดังกล่าว เธอคิดค้นซอฟต์แวร์ชีวภาพ (Biological Software)ขึ้นมา หวังว่าสิ่งนี้จะเปลี่ยนความทรงจำของจาเร็ด และช่วยให้เขาฟื้นขึ้นมาได้ ซอฟต์แวร์ชีวภาพ (Biological Software) ที่ว่านี้ เรนเขียนโปรแกรมขึ้นมาเอง พร้อมจดสิทธิบัตรเรียบร้อย เธอและแซมร่วมกันเปิดบริษัทขึ้นมาชื่อว่า Otherlife เพื่อเป็นเทรนด์ใหม่ในการใช้ชีวิตของมนุษย์ ซอฟต์แวร์ชีวภาพจะช่วยให้มนุษย์มีประสบการณ์และความทรงจำที่คิดว่าตัวเองไม่มีโอกาสที่จะได้รับ ว่าง่ายๆก็คือใครที่ใช้จะได้รับประสบการณ์ที่ยิ่งกว่ า Virtual Realirty (VR) เพราะว่าจะได้ไปอยู่ในสถานการณ์นั้นๆเลย โดยเวลาใน Otherlife กับเวลาจริงของโลกจะต่างกัน Otherlife 1 ปี เท่ากับเวลาในโลกจริง 1 นาทีเท่านั้น ด้วยเหตุนี้ แซมซึ่งน่าจะมีหัวทางด้านธุรกิจ เขาสนใจที่จะใช้ซอฟต์แวร์ชีวภาพในด้านอื่นมากกว่า เช่น ด้านกุมขังนักโทษในคุกเสมือน (virtual confinement) แต่เรนไม่เห็นด้วย แต่แล้วก็มีเหตุการณ์ที่ทำให้เรนต้องไปติดอยู่ในคุกเสมือนนั้น
