เรื่องย่อ In the Heart of the Sea (2015) หัวใจเพชฌฆาตวาฬมหาสมุทร

เป็นเรื่องราวช่วงฤดูหนาวปี 1820 เรือล่าปลาวาฬของนิวอิงแลนด์ที่ชื่อ Essex ถูกโจมตีจากสิ่งที่ไม่มีใครอยากเชื่ออย่างปลาวาฬที่มีขนาดใหญ่ยักษ์ซึ่งมนุษย์สัมผัสได้ถึงพลังแห่งการล้างแค้นเรื่องจริงของภัยพิบัติทางทะเลได้เป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้กับเรื่อง Moby Dick ของเฮอร์แมน เมลวิล แต่นั่นเป็นเรื่องราวเพียงครึ่งเดียวเท่านั้นภาพยนตร์เรื่อง In the Heart of the Sea ถ่ายทอดถึงเรื่องราวที่เกิดขึ้นหลังจากลูกเรือผู้รอดชีวิตพยายามทำทุกอย่างสุดกำลังเพื่อการเอาชีวิตรอดจากพายุที่โหมกระหน่ำ ความหิวโหย ความหวาดกลัวและความสิ้นหวัง ทุกคนต่างเกิดข้อสงสัยในความศรัทธาของตัวเองที่มีอยู่ลึกๆตั้งแต่คุณค่าของชีวิตไปจนถึงจริยธรรมแห่งการค้าเมื่อกัปตันเรือของพวกเขาค้นหาเส้นทางบนทะเลเปิด และต้นหนเรือยังคงหาทางปราบปลาวาฬยักษ์!!!
