เรื่องราวของ Five Feet Apart’ เกิดจากความรักระหว่าง สเตลลา (เฮลีย์ ลู ริชาร์ดสัน) และ วิล (โคล สเปราส์) หนุ่มสาววัย 17 ที่ตกหลุมรักกันพวกเขาจีบกันเหมือนวัยรุ่นทั่วไป แอบทำอะไรเมื่อพ้นสายตาผู้ใหญ่ แต่ความสัมพันธ์นี้เกิดขึ้นบนพื้นฐานที่ว่าพวกเขาเป็นผู้ป่วยโรคซิสติก ไฟรโบรซิสที่รักษาตัวอยู่ในโรงพยาบาลเดียวกัน โดยมีกฎสำคัญว่าพวกเขาห้ามเข้าใกล้กันกว่า 5 ฟุตโดยเด็ดขาด เมื่อความผูกพันระหว่างวิลและสเตลลาเหนียวแน่นขึ้นแต่รักครั้งนี้จะสมบูรณ์แบบได้อย่างไรในเมื่อทั้งสอง ไม่สามารถสัมผัสกันได้ วิลและสเตลลาจึงขอใช้ทุกวินาทีรวบรวมความเข้มแข็งในจิตใจของตัวเองเพื่อส่งผ่านความรักที่จะไม่มีวันยอมปล่อยให้ระยะทาง 5 ฟุต เป็นอุปสรรค!!!

นอกจากเนื้อเรื่องชวนลุ้นไปกับความรักของทั้งสองแล้วนั้น อีกหนึ่งความน่าสนใจของภาพยนตร์เรื่อง Five Feet Apart ก็คือการได้สองนักแสดงวัยรุ่นสุดฮอตแห่งยุคมาร่วมแสดงนั่นเองฝ่ายชายอย่าง โคลสเปราส์ (ฝาแฝดของหนุ่ม ดีแลน สเปราส์ ) หรือที่ใครหลายคนกำลังกรี๊ดหนักกับบท จั๊กเฮด จากซีรีส์ดัง Riverdale ส่วนฝ่ายสาว เฮลีย์ ลู ริชาร์ดสัน ก็ผ่านผลงานมาแรงอาทิ The Edge of Seventeen หรือ Columbus เรียกได้ว่าเรื่องนี้เป็นอีกผลงานการแสดงเรื่องใหม่ที่น่าจับตาของทั้งสองเลยจริงๆ
