ยงนัม ชายหนุ่มตกงานมาหลายปี ที่มาร่วมงานฉลองวันเกิดครบรอบปีที่ 70 ของแม่ของเขาในห้องประชุมของโรงแรมแห่งหนึ่ง และในวันนั้นเขาได้พบกับ อึยจู หญิงสาวที่เขาแอบรักซึ่งจบการศึกษาจากมหาวิทยาลัยที่ เดียวกันที่ได้ทำงานอยู่ที่โรงแรมแห่งนี้ ในช่วงเวลานั้นเองก็มีเหตุการณ์ไม่คาดคิดเกิดขึ้น! จู่ ๆ ก็มีก๊าซพิษลึกลับแพร่กระจายไปทั่วเมือง ทั้ง ยงนัม และเพื่อนสมาชิกของชมรมปีนเขารวมถึง อึยจู จึงต้องร่วมชะตากรรมใช้ทุกวิถีทางในการหนีเอาชีวิตรอดจากเมืองที่เต็มไปด้วยก๊าซพิษให้ได้
